Aluminium Acetate (Burrows Solution) Powder

Having difficulties obtaining Burrows (or Burow’s) Solution in Australia?

We have formulated a dry powder version that simply requires the addition of water.

Burrows Solution contains the active ingredient Aluminium acetate, a topically-applied astringent, antipruritic and antiseptic agent. Most commonly it is applied to rashes, athletes foot, pruritis ani, and eczema.

Each of our powder sachets, when mixed in water and ready for use, provides the active ingredient Aluminum acetate.

Directions

  1. Mix one sachet in 500mL of water to obtain a 1:40 dilution (0.14% w/v)
  2. Stir until dissolved
  3. Do not strain or filter the solution
  4. Once prepared, the solution can be kept in the fridge for up to 14 days
  5. Do not ‘double dip’ a used or dirty compress into solution.

Ordering

Our custom-made Aluminium Acetate (Burrow’s solution) sachets are available in packets of eight through our secure online BCP Shop. Alternatively, you can contact us for an alternative arrangement.

happen if a chemical that stimulates the growth of cells was applied to a cancerous lesion on the
skin?

Keeping bacteria happy and in natural harmony is critical for the health of the skin and treating acne. If any of these 500 strains of bacteria are disrupted, then the skin becomes more alkaline and an overgrowth of one of the previously good strains of bacteria becomes a problem. Other bacteria and fungi that don’t normally live on the skin are also given an opportunity to colonise – these are the Bad Bacteria!

In mammals, melatonin is secreted by the pineal gland in the brain. Initially melatonin was discovered as the regulator of circadian rhythm and sleep, however its uses and roles within the body have been shown to go far beyond this.
